The business was founded by Thomas Armstrong in Cockermouth in 1830 and consisted of saw mills and joinery works. Today, our operations extend across a region from Glasgow to Cheshire, from the East coast to the West coast. We have become one of the UK's largest privately owned manufacturers of building products and suppliers of building services.
